Here it goes...I havent slept all night! I think I slept for about an hour at about 2. I dont know what is going on. I have a terrible sunburn that hurts every time I move or lay down or anything. It is wierd though because I have had it for like 3 days and it hasnt been this bad. Oh well this probabally means that work is not going to be easy cause I am going to be dead tired.
Well it has been a while since I wrote on my blog. There has been a lot happening that I will write about next week. It will all make sense. To say the least I have the most incredible girlfriend in the whole world. That is you Steffanie. I also just took a weekend trip to San Diego. That explains the sunburn. There is nothing better than a walk down the beach with your girlfriend at sunset. We also went to a couple museums including the Midway aircraft carrier. It was so cool. Walking around a real aircraft carrier. It was just kind of a pick up thing for the weekend and I am not a huge fan of driving in cars for long periods of time but it was sooooo much fun. Thanks again Tammy for letting us stay at your place.
This week is going to be so great. Have I said that before? Cause it is going to be. More specifically this weekend. Really really really great. Now I will post a few pictures from our awesome weekend.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/SnbSHeWkuoI/AAAAAAAAACw/oUAyzMhVu5w/s320/IMG_2687.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365707031907187330" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/SnbSHGRPZgI/AAAAAAAAACo/mWpTD_BaxSQ/s320/IMG_2675.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365707025442366978" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/SnbSGqAQYtI/AAAAAAAAACg/k40To6OkjG4/s320/IMG_2655.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365707017854935762" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/SnbSGUiiKVI/AAAAAAAAACY/uWrIadnOAKw/s320/IMG_2646.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365707012093126994" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/SnbSF_H9H4I/AAAAAAAAACQ/Y_p3hI9EuSA/s320/IMG_2643.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365707006344503170" />

Well I think I should update all my fans on what is going on. I am officially a Tuconian. I have been here a week in Tucson. Its Hot. It actually hasnt been as bad as I thought it would be. I was expecting the first week or so to be terrible because my roommate wouldnt be here and I dont know anybody. It turns out it wasnt too bad. It does help that I was in Phoenix last weekend. I also started my new job on Monday. I never thought I would be so excited to start a job. It is really cool actually. The first day I caught myself a few times just smiling thinking "Wow I have a real job!". I actually havent done anything yet, just a ton of training and online tutorials. Not the most exciting but hey, ya gotta do it. It was also great because I have a holiday my first week! It is taking some time but I am getting pretty close to being settled here. Even though it is only a block away I have driven to Walmart like 12 times this week to get little random things like a can opener. My roomie just moved in yesterday so now he has all his stuff all over and is putting together all his furniture so as soon as he gets everything set we should be good to go. Well for your viewing pleasure here are a few pictures of my apartment.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/Sk460Wu3XRI/AAAAAAAAACI/ULNAPL2DBhE/s320/IMG_2340.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354281678119853330" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/Sk460KIe8gI/AAAAAAAAACA/hVh_m7GtJhQ/s320/IMG_2346.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354281674737644034" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/Sk46z6HAtwI/AAAAAAAAAB4/zcAVy6AtrBQ/s320/IMG_2332.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354281670436501250" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/Sk46zm_iGRI/AAAAAAAAABw/5gGpE6cxDmw/s320/IMG_2328.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354281665304860946" />

Well it has been a while so I think that it is time that I do some updating. Wow! My life is crazy right now. I am moving to Tucson in 3 days. That is not very much time. Two weeks ago I spent on a family vacation in New York and DC. That was really fun. Sometime I might write about it. This last week I have spent going between Provo and home trying to get everything done that I need to before the move. I got home from my vacation on Tuesday at like 7:00. From there I went back to Provo to get all the rest of my belongings and then Wednesday morning I drove home because on Wednesday the movers were going to come and pick up my car. Then Thursday morning the actual movers came to box up all my stuff, put it in a truck, and hopefully end up in Tucson with it all. That is a strange feeling. They just took it all away. So now I am living out of a suitcase for the next few days with just the necessities that I can take on the plane with me.
Now the sad part of the post. I have also spent the last few days saying goodbye to all of my friends here in Provo because I am leaving Provo for home today after church. It is strange. All growing up I always had friends, but I never had friends that I was so close to or that I could depend on so much. The first two people I met ended up becoming two of my best friends. I have also had very good luck with roommates. We have always been great friends and gotten along so well. And of course I cant forget my testing center friends that make work so much fun. It was hard to say goodbye but at the same time as we each go our separate ways I know one thing...we are not dying! Thanks to the magic of the internet, chat, and cell phones I can still bug each and every one of you wherever I go and wherever you may be.
I want to thank you all for the great friendships and the positive influence you have had on me. I have the best friends I could ever ask for.

Good week. Very good week. Last weekend I got to go spend in Tucson looking for a house to live in when I move down there. Man I realized how much I really don't like looking for places to live. Well I flew down to Tucson on thursday after work. As soon as I stepped off the plan and turned my phone back on I got a message from a guy that said he got my name off the institute housing list as a person needing a roomie and wanted to know if I wanted to move in with him and his friend. Well I told him that since I was in town I wanted to look at the place but it sounded good to me. I got the address and told him that I would go by and give my approval and then let him know. Next I went to get my rental car. In the process the guy told me that I would not be able to get the car that I had reserved since I did not have a credit card and I was under 25. I had my debit card and have been swiping that as credit for years but he refused to do so. Well I walked down to the next counter and asked them and the guy said that I didn't need one there. I gave him my license and he saw that I was from UT and asked what I was doing down in AZ. I told him and he said that he hoped that the Lord would "lead you guide you and walk beside you in your journey". haha it was awesome. After a little chatting I found out that he had joined the church about 3 years ago and was getting ready to go through the temple. It was a fun conversation. Oh did I mention to make it all better the guys name is Thor. Anyhoo. The next day I got a list of places to see. The institute has a list of apartments that are either owned or managed by members so I thought that would be a good place to start. The first place I went to was the place that the one guy that called me told me about. WOW! It was a dump! and it was in the middle of the ghetto too. I dont know who would live there. Needless to say I called him back and told him that I was not going to be able to live there. I then drove by all the rest of the places that were owned by members. THEY WERE ALL DUMPS! It was terrible. During the day I got another call from a guy that wanted a roommate too. He was much more reasonable in that he was looking for a nice place like me. Well we ended up finding a place called the Retreat. It is a pretty sweet 2 bed 2 bath apartment where both bedrooms are like master suites with the bathrooms coming right off the room. It also has a washer and dryer in the apartment so that is nice too. So now I finally have a place to live when I get down there. It is getting more and more real all the time that I am going to be moving to Tucson. I am really excited for it though. It is going to be great fun.

Well lets do some updatin. Thanks Megan for your podcast suggestions. I actually downloaded a few of them and really liked the Science Friday one (suprise?). It really helps with mind numbing work when you occupy your mind with something that is not meant to numb it.
Life seems like it is going a million miles per hour. I am starting to get a little nervous about the move but that is expected. I am also still homeless when I move to Tucson. Hopefully that will change this weekend. I decided that I am going to go down there and look for a place on Thursday. I have a few places that I have found on the internet so we will see if anything meets my fancy. I wanted to move out of the dumps that normal college students live in but I am moving into another college town and in order to make friends and live near the other single members I will probably have to live in a less than desirable place for a while. That is the big thing on my plate right now. I am also waiting to find out when I start. Originally I told them that I would probably be able to start on the 15th of June. Well my family has planned a trip that passes over that date and I have already paid for it so I would like to go. Plus it would be great to spend that time with my fam before I take off into the great adventure we call Tucson. When we set the 15th as a start date the guy said that it was tentative and that he would call me back when it got closer and make sure that it was still ok. Well it is not ok. I called him last week but he was out of the office all week and I just realized that he wont be there monday either with the holiday.
I am also really excited for tomorrow. Not for any particular reason, because at this moment I really dont have plans, but still it is a day off work to party and stuff. Also I just went and saw Star Trek last night. I am going to have to say that when I heard that a new Star Trek movie was coming out I was less than excited. It looked ok but still I have never been much of a trekkie. Well when I heard positive reviews I decided to go see it. I was fantastic. I really liked it a lot. Also Sylar was good at playing Spock.
Before the movie there was something that troubled me. They showed the trailer for the new harry potter movie. When did harry meet gandalf? was that in the third lord of the rings movie that i never saw? or was it in one of the other harry potter movies? i just thought it was wierd to see harry potter walking around with gandalf trying to kill things.

I don't know how to introduce my blog post this week so I am going to dispense with the pleasantries and get right to it. Even though I don't really know what "it" is...
The biggest thing that I have been doing is running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get all the paperwork done for my job. This last week they had me filling out all the information for my background check and security clearance. Wow it is intense. I pretty much had to tell them exactly where I was and what I was doing every day for the last 10 years. In addition to that I had to provide a reference of a person that could vouch for me as to being where I said I would be or doing what I said I was doing. Ya that took a while. I finally got it mailed in on Friday so they should be getting it this week and giving me more instructions on what to do.
I am also trying to find a place to live in Tucson. I am kinda not doing much right now so I got to get at that more this week. Anyone have a condo in Tucson that I can live in for free?
Anyways the main part of what I wanted to say is that I need more podcasts. At work I am confined in a cubicle all day with no human interaction. During this time I have learned the awesomeness that is podcasts. I currently listen to Baseball Today, Around the Horn, and Pardon the Interuption (yes all of which are sports) and once a week Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. This, however, is barely enough to get me through the morning. That means that I have a full 4 hours in the afternoon that I don't have anything to listen to. Sometimes I do listen to General Conference talks which is great, but I still need other things. I tried the Grammar Girl podcast, and after my brain blew out the back of my head upon hearing that there are like 3 types of dashes in addition to hyphens, I decided it wasnt for me. (Thanks for the explanation though Kari) Any ideas? Help a brotha out...

Well it has been a crazy week. Since I graduated last week I have put my skills to work and discovered cold fusion, invented a car that runs on water instead of gasoline, and made an awesome hoverboard like in Back to the Future. I wonder what exciting adventures are in store for next week.
Ok I actually havent done any of that. I just go to work, test software (which is the most boring job in the world), and then come home and watch baseball on my computer (which would be a lot more fun had the sox not lost three games this week. I am starting to get ready for the big move to Tucson. I am looking for a house to live in. I found one that looks really great but the location is not the best. It is close to work, but kinda far away from church and UofA (where all the other singles live). Darn looking for places to live in a different place where I dont know anything. I got all my prehire documents mailed in so now I am just waiting for the phone call to authorize me to start doing the last packet that I have, I believe is for my security clearance. Other than that I am pretty excited about the new situation and the new job.
I am also getting used to living back in VP with my old roomies. Already I think that we have had more people come over and hang out than we ever had in the house. This ward is a lot more social that the other ward too. It is also nice because we have a washer/dryer and a dishwasher in the apartment. The downside is that church is not until noon so sunday morning tends to be long. Thats ok though because I am going to go up to my cousins this afternoon for some hardcore trains action. It is going to be great.
I went and saw the new X-men movie this weekend. It was ok... I thought they did a better job than they did on X-3 but it still wasnt the greatest movie. Some of the dialogue was lame and the fight scenes were very brief and not very intense. Also gambit was only in the movie for like 5 min and the only time he fights is also shown in the trailer so there is nothing new about gambit in the movie. The best part of the movie for me was that new Transformers trailer before it. Now that movie is going to be awesome.
Well that is about all I got. Keep it real all yall.

Everybody watch this now!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoGYx35ypus

Well I guess it is time for another post. A lot has happened in the last few weeks, the most exciting of which is I GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE!!!! I now hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University. It is a pretty crazy thought that I have been going to school for the last 17 years of my life (omitting 2 years for my mission) and now it is all over. It was a nice day and a nice ceremony. School has been great. (did I just say that?!?!) It has been a crazy roller coaster of good times, crazy times, hard times, insane times, and of course the awkward times. It is kinda fun to look back on everything, where I was, and where I am now. I think that I actually learned something. I remember hearing about different classes or projects thinking that I would never be able to do something like that. Then I went and did it, and passed. It was a somewhat sad day. I did have to say goodbye to some of my friends that I have grown very close to over my time here in Provo.
Also, if that wasn't enough excitement I accepted a job with Raytheon in Tucson, AZ. I am going to be working for the Systems Test department helping to test the products that they are developing. I am really excited. It sounds like a really fun job and something that I will really like doing. I am a little nervous about moving to AZ since I dont know anyone and anything about Tucson. Plus all of my family is from UT so it will be hard to move away from all that. I have been thinking and praying about this for a long time and I decided that I am supposed to go to Tucson right now. I feel really good about this decision.
Well that is about all that I can think of that has happened that I care to write about. Other events include finals, ending my legacy at the testing center, and moving back into my old apartment for the next month. But that is another story for another day.

Isnt it funny how life works. You think that everything is calm and going to work out and then they throw a big wrench into the mix.
Finally I was thinking that I knew what I was doing as far as a future job was concerned. Then yesterday happened. I got a call from Hill Air Force Base offering me a job. I was kinda wierd. They pretty much offered me a job without even interviewing me. I think that they are in a desperate hiring mode and are just looking for anyone with a little experience. So basically they said that they were going to start the process to get me an offer. Then like a half hour later I got another call from someone else at Hill Air Force Base about another position. This one they are pretty sure that they want to hire me, but they actually want to interview me. So if this week werent crazy enough with studying, taking finals, and working at the TC now I have to give up all of Monday to drive to Layton for an interview. It sounds like the salary of this job will be about the same as the China Lake job (which is lower than the Tucson job by a bit). I was really excited to hear that someone in Utah wanted to hire me. That is one of my big apprehensions about working is having to move away. I mean I have lived here all my life. Almost my entire extended family lives here. But then again it was kind of interesting talking to the second guy on the phone. I want to ask him why he works at Hill. Over the phone he basically told me that the pay was really low, the benefits were terrible, but the work was kinda fun. He just didnt seem very happy. I guess I shouldnt judge until I actually go up there. This is me not judging...
On another note, because I have not written for a long time...Last week conference was amazing. I think that a few of the talks were written about me. In particular I enjoyed Elder Hollands and Elder Snows and Pres. Uchtdorfs from Priesthood Session. Im pretty sure that the General Authorities had a meeting before and said "There is this guy, Todd Frandsen, that is being dumb about making decisions. Talk to him about it." It amazed me how much the talks applied to what I am going through right now. I also am trying something new. I downloaded the talks and put them on my ipod. It is actually really nice. I was doing laundry yesterday. Instead of driving back and forth I just sat there and listened to a few talks. It was really good. I think I got that from my dad. He always buys the CD's and listens to them as he commutes to and from work.
Well scary but I have less than two weeks till I graduate. I guess I have to pass my finals though, which means that I should probably get off the computer and start studying.

So I just realized that I didnt write my usual post on Sunday afternoon. In my defense, however, I was driving for most of the day going to and from my cousins baby blessing. Anyways right now I am sitting in Tucson, AZ awaiting the two day interview that will take place the next two days at Raytheon. From what I know about the company it would be a really cool company to work for. Also from what I have seen of Tucson, I really dont know about it. Granted I have only driven from the airport to the hotel, but it was about 20 miles. I guess we will just see what happens tomorrow. The one thing that I dont like is the feeling that I am alone right now. Just sitting here with no one to talk to and no one to go visit...its the pits.
Next item...I cant believe that I didnt get even a single one of the Final Four teams right. I mean, cmmon, what are the odds? I dont think that I have ever missed all 4 in the history of the final four.
Also, my cousin thinks that I have a lack of pictured on my blog so she took some and told me that I need to post them on my blog. So here they are.

This is a picture of my cousin and me.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_dYHqVOJVw_Q/SdQl4tFTOvI/AAAAAAAAABo/RUXLgDtGsnA/s320/march+2009+423.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319918715936127730" />
Here is her baby, not mine. No I do not have a baby...or a wife for that matter.

Well wish me luck in my interviews in the next few days. I dont think that I would ever say this but I want to get back to Provo...

One more thing I forgot to mention. I am making another appearance in this little world we call the wide web.
First I want to thank all those of you (you know who you are) for listening to me rant and rave about the random happenings in my life and about the fact that I dont want to grow up. I really appreciate it. And for those of you who dont already know, my cousin Camie is the greatest person in the entire world.
Now on to current events. We all know that the most important thing happening in the world right now is March Maddness. Yes it is the time of the year that truly brings us all together. Where fan and ignorant both come together in the blissful union that is making a bracket. Here are a few thoughts on what my bracket looks like this year and how the tourney has gone so far. First of all I dont know why but every year I kinda feel obligated to pick BYU to win at least one game. I guess it is a school pride thing or something. This is dumb. All of you know I am an undying true blue fan of BYU sports and always will be. But I do not see BYU making it out of the first round of the tourney anytime soon. In all sports we are really good at crumbling under pressure or when anything even remotely important is on the line (hence TCU and Utah football games and Arizona and Wake Forest basketball games). I would like to say that in the future I am not going to pick them but i'm sure I will. Also I usually pick Duke to go a long ways. I decided a long time ago that I was a Duke fan, not for any particular reason, but they always seem to be good. This also always comes back to bite me. Duke, usually, plays a lot like BYU, loosing to a nobody team way before they should have. My brother came up with a theory that you should always pick Duke to loose one round before you think they should. I tried that this year, having Duke loose to Texas yesterday...ya, that didnt happen. Lame. Other than that my bracket is not doing so well. I have lost about 5 games by 3 points or less. Many of the good teams that I had going a long way are barely squeeking out wins against nobody teams. And Wake? What in the world happened to Wake? Oh man. It has been fun, though, coming home from class and seeing my roomie, who is normally indifferent to sports, watching as many of the games that he can. March and basketball...two things that can really bring people closer together...

Wow! Good weekend. So I did two things that I have wanted to do since I got to BYU but havent done yet. Saturday afternoon I went to my first BYU baseball game. I have always wanted to go to a game and since I am a huge baseball fan I love going to games anyways. Well I was talking to Karianne on Friday and we decided to go to the game. Wow. It was so fun. To make things better they give you a paper to keep stats on for the game. I have never actually done it but I remember watching my Mom do it during little league games and stuff when I was growing up. Well Kari got one of the sheets and was keeping score. It was so fun to watch and help her with it. I have decided that I am going to go again and keep score. I actually got so excited about it that I came home and looked online for tips on how to do all the scoring and stuff. Ok I am a nerd I know.
After that I decided it was time, since it was a beautiful day, to pull out the ole baseball glove and play some catch. I got a couple of people from my ward to come play too. Nerd moment number two. I have always wanted to learn how to learn how to throw different types of pitches. So I got on youtube (you can find anything on youtube) and found videos of people teaching how to throw these pitches. I am currently working on my curveball and my slider. I think I got the slider to work a little but the curveball has a wierd release to that will take some time. One of my favorite things about warm weather is playing homerun derby. Man, isnt baseball the greatest? Of course the answer to that is YES!
Awesome thing number two. I finally went to a BYU rugby game and it was AWESOME! I didnt know any of the rules to the game or really even how it was played. The only things I know about rugby are from the movie "Forever Strong" (which I highly recommend). There are a few guys in my ward that play so I thought that it would be fun to see. I am kinda into the sports that arent mainstream, like I played lacrosse in high school. Well I think that I am hooked. I think that it is kinda like a cross between between soccer and football. And they hit each other hard. I dont know how they do it. I have to try and get to as many games of these two sports as time will permit until the end of the semester.
Well that is only a sliver about my great weekend. It was so much fun. I dont want to go back to school tomorrow. On the bright side I think that tomorrow will be my last midterm for the rest of college. Now how many people can say that?

This is the funniest thing in the world.

Well I have received requests for an update on how I made it out of China Lake alive and how my interview went so here it goes. I spent all day Thursday on the naval base in China Lake. I think that all China Lake is is the base because the city next to it is called Ridgecrest and and the other city is called Inyokern. That is where the airport is. It is the size of one of those portable classrooms from elementary school (the airport, not the city). I will put pictures up when I get them off my phone. Anyways they pretty much loved me, and I mean, who wouldnt. I spent half of the morning in some orentation meeting where they talked about all the business and benefits and stuff. Then we drove around in a van and kinda took a tour of most of the site. We then went and talked to a guy that works in the department that records and analyzes the test data from the tests that they do on site (further explination to follow). Then we went back and I met up with my "sponsor" and it was up to him to fill up the rest of my day. The guy I was with was really funny because he would always explain to me what he was going to do before he did it. For instance, when we were in line in the cafeteria he told me that lunch time was for getting to know me and if I liked things, like the outdoors. Well I made it through that portion of the interview, and for thoes of you wondering, I did tell him that I like the outdoors. For the rest of the day I went around talking to various people and letting them explain to me what they do. Two of the people were really cool and one of them was soooooooo boring. For instance, one of the cool guys works on completly analog smart missled. How cool is that? Take that DSP crazies! Anyhoo in all actuality the job was much cooler than I though it would be. I actually think that it would be a really fun job to have. All the people there seem to really love their jobs. To be brutally honest I think that the decision would be much easier if i were married because the town is small and there arent many singles. I guess I should explain what the company does. It is called NavAir. They are pretty much the civilian navy. They design, fabricate, and test missles, rockets, bombs, and other random navy weapons. Well I have more applications out and I am still waiting to hear back from Lockheed Martin and I am going to fly to Tuscon to interview with Raytheon so we will have to see. I really dont feel like moving to the middle of nowhere.

Wow. What a day. For those of my faithful followers that do not know, I am currently in California. Tomorrow I will have an all day job interview with a company called NavAir. It is the remotest of locations called China Lake, CA. This place is so remote that out of all the people that I know actually from California, none of them have heard of China Lake. Well, I got up early today and went to the Salt Lake airport. I forgot that it was wednesday and that wednesday is missionary day so needless to say the airport was a little bit busier that I thought it would be. I got up to the front of the line to get my boarding pass and the lady said that the flight was already boarding. So I had to run across the airport to get to the gate on time. The flight wasn't too bad and I had no one sitting next to me. I got to LAX and then had to walk all the way across the airport to get to the right gate. Then I realized that all my running had been in vain because the flight didn't leave for an hour. So finally I got checked into my second flight and then they called for boarding no one really got up to board the plane. I walked down towards the plane and then off the end of the gate ramp and down the stairs. There was the plane. A little tiny thing, maybe seats 30 people. So I climbed up the stairs of the plane and sat down. Then they closed the door of the plane. I looked around and there were only 4 people on the plane. 4 PEOPLE!!!! Add that to the 3 crew members and that was all the people on the plane. Oh man. Since the plane was so small it was carried about on the wind every which way making me nervous the whole time. We finally landed and one of the other 3 people on the plane said that it was a very calm flight making me wonder what a bumpy flight is like. Well we finally got to the airport and it is about the size of a portable classroom at an elementary school. The baggage claim is a table that they have sitting outside. I went to the rental car desk and there was a girl sitting there, like she was just waiting for me and then she could go home because I was her only customer all day. I told her I had a reservation and she looked at me like "Duh, I have been waiting". I got my car and drove into town...I guess that is what they call it. It is so small. But proof that Wal-Mart is taking over the world... there is one here. I have decided that I want to buy a new Honda Accord though. That is the car I rented. It is so nice and smooth and quiet. Now I am in my hotel room awaiting the inevitable day long job interview tomorrow.

I think I am going to preface this post with the fact that I am an idiot. As many of my frequent, or non-frequent readers know, I was going to take the GRE yesterday. For this test I decided to study a whopping 2 hours for the test that would determine my future. I thought that would suffice. Anyways I went to bed early on Friday night and got up early Saturday morning to take my test. The email they sent out said that you needed to be there BY 8:30 in the morning or else you wouldn't be able to take your test. Well I decided to get there at 8:15 or so to be sure that I was there on time. Well the place dosen't even open until 8:30 so I dont know why they told us to be there so early. I went to check in and they made me fill out some paper for whatever reason. Well they took my drivers lisence to check me in and get my test ready and I sat back waiting for the test. Well, they came back to me about 5 min later and took me aside and told me that my license had been expired for 6 MONTHS! Wow! Tell me about a massive oversight. So then they said that there was nothing I could do about it. Needless to say, $140 down the tube. Then I got a bright idea to look on the GRE to see if the requirements actually specified a "valid" ID. Needless to say that the GRE people outsmarted me and the actual requirement says a "valid ID". I guess it is good though because I need time to study for that darn test. I did pretty well on the quantitative part but I did terrible on the verbal trash. I mean who needs to talk anyways. Well that is the story of my idiocy. So now on the count of three everyone needs to get out there wallets and check their licenses for an expiration date. Ready? 1...2...3...

Well it is that time of week again. I thought I would have nothing to really write about this week until I saw something so very glorious. I went to ward choir practice today as I usually do. I was sitting there waiting for it to start when I looked over at a book shelf and saw it. A 1937 thriller called "Electrical Engineering Direct Currents". wow! Yes it is an engineering book from the early to mid 1900's. Steffanie compared it to a genealogy book and I think I would have to agree with her. It is a book of my heritage, where I come from. Then I just looked it up on ebay. oh yes it is available for $10. I am right now considering if I need this book or not...although I am pretty sure that I do. (Yes Megan and Miri...you can roll your eyes now :) )

Next item up (prepare second eye roll)
I really really want a slide rule. I think that it would be the coolest thing in the world. It would even be better if i took it into a test and actually did a problem with it in the testing center. Would that or would that not be awesome. My problem with this, though, is on ebay there are many slide rules for a variaty of different prices. I am not sure which is the best. My dad used a slide rule going through college though so I might ask him which I should get. I remember about 8 or 9 years ago my dad got his slide rule out and taught me how to use it a little. I was so neat. Plus it calculated solutions much more accurately than you would think an analog device would. A must have...

(This is a slide rule for those of you who dont know)

On other notes my life is insane. I am starting to get offers from companies to fly to their sites for second interviews for jobs when I graduate, including China Lake, CA (NavAir)and Tuscon, AZ (Raytheon). I also had a first interview with Lockheed Martin this last week. My dad works for Lockheed and I really want a job with them. It is an awesome company and they do a lot of really cool things. I am still keeping options open for grad school. I am taking the GRE on saturday and then I should be all but done with my application for Utah State. That is really the only place I am going to apply, mostly because I missed the deadlines everywhere else. Plus I am pretty done with school for a while. After 24 years I think I am going to take a break and go make a ton of money...unless someone just wants to give me money...cause that would be great.

New Video. My little brother came down and spent the weekend hanging out with me in provo. Pretty much we did what normal 12 year olds do, including wii, eating, and movies. I have been trying to get him out and down here for a long time but my mom always came up with an excuse that he could not. But this weekend my little sister was going to leave and instead of leaving my brother home to celebrate valentines day with my parents I though it better for him to get out. Needless to say...party.
Something that has bugged me for a while is the notion that BYU can change the day of the week. Currently I work on tuesdays all day and thursdays for half a day. My boss wants me to work about 20 hours a week but I usually only end up getting about 16. Well this week I am going to be missing 8 of thoes happy hours because someone decided that we can mess up time. That really bugs me. I was talking to people that went to other schools and they think that it is crazy too. Lest you say that there is a logical reason behind the alteration of the space time continum...yes I understand the reason. I know that having two Mondays off for holiday would make the number of days of each class (MWF vs TTh) unequal, thus showing favoritism to the TTh classes and making the MWF teachers upset. So to make it so that everyone is equal we have decided to take the Delorean back in time so that we can see what would have happened on Monday had it been and completly skipping Tuesday. But I pose the question...what did tuesday ever do to you?

So blog eh? I dont know why I got one of these. I think it is probably to write things. I dont possibly know what I have to say that would be of interest to anyone. Which is the funny thing because no one actually knows at this moment that I have a blog. Also, I like to talk, and this way if i start rambling on and on people can just close the window instead of having to punch me or walk away akwardly.
I learned something tonight. This darn economic stimulus plan I think is a load of trash. I guess it is my opinion but I do not think that a normal american will even see the effect of the almost ONE TRILLION dollars that is looking to be passed. Do we, as people, even fathom how much ONE TRILLION dollars is? I will answer that for you. No! You do not. Even if right now you are thinking that you do, let me assure you, you do not. I was reading a newspaper article about what can be done with a TRILLION dollars. These are just a few of the things you might be able to do. You can pay for college tuition for ever high school student in the entire country. You can pave the entire united states highway system in 24 carat gold. If you owned a company that made a thousand dollars a day and you started operating on the day that Jesus was born it would take you until like the year 2737 to make a trillion dollars. There were a few other things like Warren Buffet would have to be worth like 20 times more than he is and how many hundreds of trips to pluto you would have to take. Let us all ask ourselves "Is this really necessary?" I mean come on!
My opinion for which I am sure I will be totally contradicted is that the bail out will do absolutly nothing. In my extremly educated point of view the economy is only going to improve when someone from the government comes out and tells the people that the recession is over, even though it probably wont be, so that people will start spending money again. If there is one thing that americans know how to do is spend money.
Oh, and Citibank needs another private jet so we should probably throw some money their way...
