Are you all ready for this? Here it goes...I havent slept all night! I think I slept for about an hour at about 2. I dont know what is going on. I have a terrible sunburn that hurts every time I move or lay down or anything. It is wierd though because I have had it for like 3 days and it hasnt been this bad. Oh well this probabally means that work is not going to be easy cause I am going to be dead tired.
Well it has been a while since I wrote on my blog. There has been a lot happening that I will write about next week. It will all make sense. To say the least I have the most incredible girlfriend in the whole world. That is you Steffanie. I also just took a weekend trip to San Diego. That explains the sunburn. There is nothing better than a walk down the beach with your girlfriend at sunset. We also went to a couple museums including the Midway aircraft carrier. It was so cool. Walking around a real aircraft carrier. It was just kind of a pick up thing for the weekend and I am not a huge fan of driving in cars for long periods of time but it was sooooo much fun. Thanks again Tammy for letting us stay at your place.
This week is going to be so great. Have I said that before? Cause it is going to be. More specifically this weekend. Really really really great. Now I will post a few pictures from our awesome weekend.

Well I think I should update all my fans on what is going on. I am officially a Tuconian. I have been here a week in Tucson. Its Hot. It actually hasnt been as bad as I thought it would be. I was expecting the first week or so to be terrible because my roommate wouldnt be here and I dont know anybody. It turns out it wasnt too bad. It does help that I was in Phoenix last weekend. I also started my new job on Monday. I never thought I would be so excited to start a job. It is really cool actually. The first day I caught myself a few times just smiling thinking "Wow I have a real job!". I actually havent done anything yet, just a ton of training and online tutorials. Not the most exciting but hey, ya gotta do it. It was also great because I have a holiday my first week! It is taking some time but I am getting pretty close to being settled here. Even though it is only a block away I have driven to Walmart like 12 times this week to get little random things like a can opener. My roomie just moved in yesterday so now he has all his stuff all over and is putting together all his furniture so as soon as he gets everything set we should be good to go. Well for your viewing pleasure here are a few pictures of my apartment.

Well it has been a while so I think that it is time that I do some updating. Wow! My life is crazy right now. I am moving to Tucson in 3 days. That is not very much time. Two weeks ago I spent on a family vacation in New York and DC. That was really fun. Sometime I might write about it. This last week I have spent going between Provo and home trying to get everything done that I need to before the move. I got home from my vacation on Tuesday at like 7:00. From there I went back to Provo to get all the rest of my belongings and then Wednesday morning I drove home because on Wednesday the movers were going to come and pick up my car. Then Thursday morning the actual movers came to box up all my stuff, put it in a truck, and hopefully end up in Tucson with it all. That is a strange feeling. They just took it all away. So now I am living out of a suitcase for the next few days with just the necessities that I can take on the plane with me.
Now the sad part of the post. I have also spent the last few days saying goodbye to all of my friends here in Provo because I am leaving Provo for home today after church. It is strange. All growing up I always had friends, but I never had friends that I was so close to or that I could depend on so much. The first two people I met ended up becoming two of my best friends. I have also had very good luck with roommates. We have always been great friends and gotten along so well. And of course I cant forget my testing center friends that make work so much fun. It was hard to say goodbye but at the same time as we each go our separate ways I know one thing...we are not dying! Thanks to the magic of the internet, chat, and cell phones I can still bug each and every one of you wherever I go and wherever you may be.
I want to thank you all for the great friendships and the positive influence you have had on me. I have the best friends I could ever ask for.

Good week. Very good week. Last weekend I got to go spend in Tucson looking for a house to live in when I move down there. Man I realized how much I really don't like looking for places to live. Well I flew down to Tucson on thursday after work. As soon as I stepped off the plan and turned my phone back on I got a message from a guy that said he got my name off the institute housing list as a person needing a roomie and wanted to know if I wanted to move in with him and his friend. Well I told him that since I was in town I wanted to look at the place but it sounded good to me. I got the address and told him that I would go by and give my approval and then let him know. Next I went to get my rental car. In the process the guy told me that I would not be able to get the car that I had reserved since I did not have a credit card and I was under 25. I had my debit card and have been swiping that as credit for years but he refused to do so. Well I walked down to the next counter and asked them and the guy said that I didn't need one there. I gave him my license and he saw that I was from UT and asked what I was doing down in AZ. I told him and he said that he hoped that the Lord would "lead you guide you and walk beside you in your journey". haha it was awesome. After a little chatting I found out that he had joined the church about 3 years ago and was getting ready to go through the temple. It was a fun conversation. Oh did I mention to make it all better the guys name is Thor. Anyhoo. The next day I got a list of places to see. The institute has a list of apartments that are either owned or managed by members so I thought that would be a good place to start. The first place I went to was the place that the one guy that called me told me about. WOW! It was a dump! and it was in the middle of the ghetto too. I dont know who would live there. Needless to say I called him back and told him that I was not going to be able to live there. I then drove by all the rest of the places that were owned by members. THEY WERE ALL DUMPS! It was terrible. During the day I got another call from a guy that wanted a roommate too. He was much more reasonable in that he was looking for a nice place like me. Well we ended up finding a place called the Retreat. It is a pretty sweet 2 bed 2 bath apartment where both bedrooms are like master suites with the bathrooms coming right off the room. It also has a washer and dryer in the apartment so that is nice too. So now I finally have a place to live when I get down there. It is getting more and more real all the time that I am going to be moving to Tucson. I am really excited for it though. It is going to be great fun.

Well lets do some updatin. Thanks Megan for your podcast suggestions. I actually downloaded a few of them and really liked the Science Friday one (suprise?). It really helps with mind numbing work when you occupy your mind with something that is not meant to numb it.
Life seems like it is going a million miles per hour. I am starting to get a little nervous about the move but that is expected. I am also still homeless when I move to Tucson. Hopefully that will change this weekend. I decided that I am going to go down there and look for a place on Thursday. I have a few places that I have found on the internet so we will see if anything meets my fancy. I wanted to move out of the dumps that normal college students live in but I am moving into another college town and in order to make friends and live near the other single members I will probably have to live in a less than desirable place for a while. That is the big thing on my plate right now. I am also waiting to find out when I start. Originally I told them that I would probably be able to start on the 15th of June. Well my family has planned a trip that passes over that date and I have already paid for it so I would like to go. Plus it would be great to spend that time with my fam before I take off into the great adventure we call Tucson. When we set the 15th as a start date the guy said that it was tentative and that he would call me back when it got closer and make sure that it was still ok. Well it is not ok. I called him last week but he was out of the office all week and I just realized that he wont be there monday either with the holiday.
I am also really excited for tomorrow. Not for any particular reason, because at this moment I really dont have plans, but still it is a day off work to party and stuff. Also I just went and saw Star Trek last night. I am going to have to say that when I heard that a new Star Trek movie was coming out I was less than excited. It looked ok but still I have never been much of a trekkie. Well when I heard positive reviews I decided to go see it. I was fantastic. I really liked it a lot. Also Sylar was good at playing Spock.
Before the movie there was something that troubled me. They showed the trailer for the new harry potter movie. When did harry meet gandalf? was that in the third lord of the rings movie that i never saw? or was it in one of the other harry potter movies? i just thought it was wierd to see harry potter walking around with gandalf trying to kill things.

I don't know how to introduce my blog post this week so I am going to dispense with the pleasantries and get right to it. Even though I don't really know what "it" is...
The biggest thing that I have been doing is running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get all the paperwork done for my job. This last week they had me filling out all the information for my background check and security clearance. Wow it is intense. I pretty much had to tell them exactly where I was and what I was doing every day for the last 10 years. In addition to that I had to provide a reference of a person that could vouch for me as to being where I said I would be or doing what I said I was doing. Ya that took a while. I finally got it mailed in on Friday so they should be getting it this week and giving me more instructions on what to do.
I am also trying to find a place to live in Tucson. I am kinda not doing much right now so I got to get at that more this week. Anyone have a condo in Tucson that I can live in for free?
Anyways the main part of what I wanted to say is that I need more podcasts. At work I am confined in a cubicle all day with no human interaction. During this time I have learned the awesomeness that is podcasts. I currently listen to Baseball Today, Around the Horn, and Pardon the Interuption (yes all of which are sports) and once a week Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. This, however, is barely enough to get me through the morning. That means that I have a full 4 hours in the afternoon that I don't have anything to listen to. Sometimes I do listen to General Conference talks which is great, but I still need other things. I tried the Grammar Girl podcast, and after my brain blew out the back of my head upon hearing that there are like 3 types of dashes in addition to hyphens, I decided it wasnt for me. (Thanks for the explanation though Kari) Any ideas? Help a brotha out...
