I don't know how to introduce my blog post this week so I am going to dispense with the pleasantries and get right to it. Even though I don't really know what "it" is...
The biggest thing that I have been doing is running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get all the paperwork done for my job. This last week they had me filling out all the information for my background check and security clearance. Wow it is intense. I pretty much had to tell them exactly where I was and what I was doing every day for the last 10 years. In addition to that I had to provide a reference of a person that could vouch for me as to being where I said I would be or doing what I said I was doing. Ya that took a while. I finally got it mailed in on Friday so they should be getting it this week and giving me more instructions on what to do.
I am also trying to find a place to live in Tucson. I am kinda not doing much right now so I got to get at that more this week. Anyone have a condo in Tucson that I can live in for free?
Anyways the main part of what I wanted to say is that I need more podcasts. At work I am confined in a cubicle all day with no human interaction. During this time I have learned the awesomeness that is podcasts. I currently listen to Baseball Today, Around the Horn, and Pardon the Interuption (yes all of which are sports) and once a week Wait Wait Dont Tell Me. This, however, is barely enough to get me through the morning. That means that I have a full 4 hours in the afternoon that I don't have anything to listen to. Sometimes I do listen to General Conference talks which is great, but I still need other things. I tried the Grammar Girl podcast, and after my brain blew out the back of my head upon hearing that there are like 3 types of dashes in addition to hyphens, I decided it wasnt for me. (Thanks for the explanation though Kari) Any ideas? Help a brotha out...
